Apparently it has been removed from google extensions, due to not being updated in forever.
And the fact that both things get bit at the same time.strange to say the least.Īnd the extension I had that stopped working was noscript. Thing is when I noticed this in Chrome, I checked Internet Explorer and they were there as well. Updated Malwarebytes, found a couple of things, removed.haven't seen any new extension in chrome so far. Had the exact same thing happen for the last 1-2 weeks. This has been happening for about a week now! I have also run several scans on my computer for malware and such, but it always says my computer is clean. I copy and pasted the directory, it pops up saying it doesn't exist. I tried finding it manually, nowhere to be found. The weird thing is, the location it gives me doesn't even exist on my computer. I tried enabling Developer Mode for Chrome Extensions, which then shows me the location the extensions were installed from. I can go to Extensions and remove them, but the next day another one is installed again. Its always some extension that adds a bunch of obtrusive and annoying ads to every website (AdShark, DealFactor, etc.) Since then though, about every day a random Chrome extension gets installed without me knowing.
My AdBlock Chrome extension stopped working one day, so I reinstalled Google Chrome, and that fixed it.
